hello!

....and welcome to Bender and Fender's page! on this blog we will post various stuff about our activity as Djs... venues, playlists, dates and so on.... but first you need a little introduction to the two of us!

Dj Bender and I met on a sunny day of april in 2003 at Genoa University, as we are both students in law and we were chosen as Erasmus students to Paris Nanterre for the following year. We decided to share the house and little by little we realized we had a lot of friends in common and we were something like neighborhoods but never had the chance to meet each other before...anyway...I cannot tell how wonderful were those days spent at home in La Bastille, really... The best company I could wish.

In February Bender came back home, but I stayed for the rest of the year in order to finish my exams and finally graduate in february 2005.

About a month ago I met Bender at the local library and that same afternoon we went to study at the bar he used to work as a waiter, a beautiful terrace just above the sea in Genova, along the promenade of Corso Italia... he told me he would begin to work as a Dj in a very short time, he was just waiting for his players to arrive from the USA and then he would start spinning recs there, at the Mucca bar. He borrowed my mixer, an awful Gemini i bought for Serravalle summer fest where I was the Dj...... We decided we would go looking for parties sometime...

And all of a sudden, on Friday afternoon we were chatting on msn and he asked me to come and help him with his set before Erlend Oie (Kings of Convenience) arrived. I stole a ton of my brother's CD's and rushed to the Mucca Bar... and I guess the story started that evening!
